![]() ![]() As a teaching artist, Caitlyn works with New York City Children’s Theater (NYCCT) to bring theatre based literature programming to District 75 (special education) schools and homeless shelters throughout NYC. As an actor, Caitlyn believes that positive representation matters and prioritizes stories that challenge society’s narratives of black women and show young black girls that they have a place on our world’s stage. ![]() Caitlyn also has a deep love for acting through song and is a trained vocalist.Ĭaitlyn has a passion for the human experience which has manifested itself in a multitude of ways through theatre and teaching artistry. She trained extensively in modern realism, Shakespeare and other classical texts, as well as the Adler technique, voice and speech, on camera technique and movement. While there, Caitlyn spent 4 years training at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting where she learned what it means to be an artist. Originally from SoCal, Caitlyn set a goal, worked hard and (after only a 48-hour visit) moved to the city to attend her dream school, Tisch. Caitlyn McCain is a NYC based actor and graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she received a BFA in Drama.
